Gateway to Nature

Public art commission, 8 Hills Regional Park, Worcestershire

Gateway to Nature

Gateway to Nature is a multi-disciplinary public art commission with ReNEW, exploring the emerging cultural identity of the 8 Hills Regional Park through an immersive relationship with landscape, ecology and community. Moving across its hills, edges and connecting spaces, we are tracing the topographies, natural systems and lived relationships that give this landscape its character. Through a deeply place-responsive and collaborative process, a shared visual language will emerge, shaping an artwork that considers the gateway not simply as an entrance, but as a moment of orientation, encounter and belonging; a new landmark grown from the landscape itself.

A programme of creative engagement with young Creative Producers, local community groups together with site research commenced summer 2026 with a completion and installation of artwork(s) 2027. Commissioners: ReNew (Bromsgrove and Redditch District Council) & The National Trust, supported by Arts Council England
